This guide covers your Xtream IPTV login from start to finish: what each of the three fields means, where to find them in your welcome e-mail, how to type them into any supported player, and what to do when the app refuses them. Most failed logins come down to a single character, so we take the fields one at a time and show you how to check each one before you press the button.
Xtream Codes is a login format, not an app. Think of it as a common language that many players understand. IPTV Smarters Pro, TiviMate, XCIPTV and GSE Smart IPTV all speak it, and IBO Player accepts the same details through its own website. Once you understand the three fields, you can set up any of these players, on any of the devices we support, without needing a separate guide for each one.
Where this page sits: it is one of three login and guide pages under our setup overview. If your player only accepts a playlist link, our M3U playlist setup guide is the right one. If you are logged in but the programme guide shows the wrong times, go to the TV guide setup page.
What an Xtream IPTV login is
When you order, we create an account for you on our service. That account holds the pack you chose and the date your access ends. The Xtream Codes format gives a player three pieces of information so it can reach that account: where to connect, who you are, and proof that it is really you. Nothing more is needed.
Where to connect
The server URL tells the player which address to call. It is the same for every device in your home.
Who you are
The username points to your own account, with your pack and your end date.
Proof it is you
The password confirms the request. Without it, the account stays closed.
Once the player has all three, it asks our service for the list of categories, the programme guide, the films and the series. Because it asks for them section by section, it does not need to read one huge file at the start. That is why an Xtream login usually opens faster than a single long playlist, and why the menus stay tidy: live TV in one place, films in another, series in a third.
What this means for you: if your player offers both Xtream Codes and M3U, choose Xtream Codes. You type a little more at the start, but the app is quicker and better organised every evening afterwards. The content itself is the same with either format; only the way the player reaches it changes.
You enter the details once per player. The app stores them until you delete the profile, reinstall the app or reset the device. Your login works for the whole duration you bought, whether that is 1, 3, 6 or 12 months, and it stops on the end date because nothing renews by itself.
The three fields, one by one
Each field has its own habits and its own typical mistakes. This table sums them up, and the sections below go into the detail that matters when you are standing in front of the TV with a remote in your hand.
| Field | Other names in players | What it is | Typical mistake |
|---|---|---|---|
| Server URL | Server, host, portal URL, URL | The address the player connects to | Dropping the beginning of the address or the number after the colon |
| Username | User, login, user name | Your account name on our service | Wrong capital letters, or a space added at the end |
| Password | Pass, key | The secret that proves it is you | Look-alike characters, such as a capital I and a lower-case l |
Server URL
Type it exactly as it appears in your e-mail. Keep the beginning of the address, including the part before the two slashes. If the address ends with a colon followed by a number, keep that number too: it tells the player which door to knock on, and without it the player knocks on the wrong one. Do not add anything after it, such as an extra slash or a word, unless the e-mail shows it. Some players split the address into two boxes, one for the address and one for the number. In that case, put each part in its own box and leave out the colon.
Username
The username is case-sensitive. A capital letter and a small letter are two different characters to our service, so a username typed with the wrong case is a different username. Watch the very end of the field. Phones often add a space after a word you paste or dictate, and that space is invisible on most TV keyboards.
Password
The password follows the same rules: case-sensitive, no extra spaces. The usual trouble comes from characters that look alike in some fonts: a capital I and a small l, a zero and a capital O, a one and a small l. If your e-mail app lets you zoom in, zoom in. If the player shows a small eye icon next to the password box, use it to check what you typed before you confirm.
Reading your welcome e-mail
Everything you need arrives in one message, sent within minutes of your order. Before you touch the TV, take a minute with that e-mail. Knowing which line is which saves you from typing the right value into the wrong box.

What to look for in the message
- A line labelled server, host or URL: that is your server URL.
- A line labelled username or user.
- A line labelled password.
- A playlist link, for players that accept only M3U.
- The pack you ordered and the duration you chose.
The e-mail may also include a playlist link. That link carries the same account in a different format. You do not need it for an Xtream login, but keep it: some players accept only a link, and our M3U playlist guide explains how to use it.
If the message is not in your inbox a few minutes after payment, look in the spam or promotions folder first. Search your mailbox for “Northline”. If it is still missing, write to support from the address you ordered with, and we resend it. Our page on how activation works covers the full path from payment to access e-mail.
Copy, do not retype from memory
The safest way to move a value from the e-mail to the TV is to read it character by character, in groups of three or four, and check each group after you type it. Saying the characters out loud helps more than people expect. Do not rely on memory for any of the three fields, even after you have typed them once: a single swapped letter is enough to make the login fail.
A practical habit: before you start, write the pack name and the end date in the calendar on your phone. You will need the end date later, when you decide whether to order again, and it is the first thing to check if the login suddenly stops one evening.
Before you type
A few checks before you open the login screen prevent most errors. They take a couple of minutes and remove the causes that have nothing to do with the three fields.
- The welcome e-mail is open on a phone or computer next to the TV.
- You know which player you will use, and it comes from your device’s official app store.
- The device is online: open any app that uses the internet to confirm it.
- No other device in the home is playing with this login right now.
- The device date, time and time zone are set automatically.
- The player is up to date, with no update waiting in the store.
Steady speed needed at the screen you are setting up
The speed figures matter after the login, not during it. A slow line will still accept your details, but the picture will pause once you play a channel. If you plan to watch in 4K, test the line at the screen during the evening, when the home is busiest, and look for 25 Mbps or more at that one screen.
The date and time check sounds odd, but it matters. A device with the wrong date can fail to open a secure connection, and the player then reports a vague network error that looks like a login problem. Setting the time to automatic takes seconds in the device settings and removes that cause completely.
If you are still choosing a pack, the Premium Pack gives you 20,000+ channels, 24,000+ series and 100,000+ movies in HD, Full HD and 4K. The login works the same way with every pack. All packs and durations are compared on the plans page, with current prices.
How to enter your Xtream IPTV details
Screens differ a little from one player to another, but the order below works in all of them. Follow it once, slowly, and you will rarely need to do it again.
- Open the player’s login screen. Look for “add user”, “add playlist”, “new profile” or “login”. If the player offers several types, pick the one that mentions Xtream Codes or Xtream Codes API.
- Give the profile a name. Any name works. “Northline” or the room name makes it easy to recognise later, especially if more than one profile ends up on the same device.
- Type the server URL. Copy it in full, including the beginning and the number after the colon if there is one. If the player has a separate box for that number, use it.
- Type the username. Respect every capital letter. Move the cursor to the end of the box and check that no space sits there.
- Type the password. Same rules. If an eye icon is available, tap it and compare what you see with the e-mail.
- Confirm and wait. The player connects and loads live TV, films, series and the guide. Leave the remote alone until the home screen of the player appears.
- Play one live channel. If it plays, the login is done. Mark a few favourites while you are there, so the next evening starts faster.
An illustration of a typical Xtream Codes screen. Field names vary between players, and every value comes from your own welcome e-mail.
The first load is the slowest. The player is building its lists of categories and fetching the guide for the coming days. On a recent device with a good line, this is short. On an older stick or a TV that is several generations old, it can take longer, and pressing buttons during the load can interrupt it. Be patient on the first run only; later starts reuse what the player has stored.
For screen-by-screen help in one specific app, see our IPTV Smarters Pro guide or our TiviMate guide. Both follow this same order with the menu names of that player.
Where each player keeps the Xtream option
Every supported player reaches your account in its own way. The table shows how each one handles your details, so you know what to expect before you install it. Install the player from your device’s official app store. We are independent from the publishers of these apps; if one of them asks for a licence, check the current price on the app’s official website.
| Player | Accepts the three fields | Where you enter them | Good to know |
|---|---|---|---|
| IPTV Smarters Pro | Yes | In the app, on the add-user screen | Choose the Xtream Codes API option rather than the playlist option |
| TiviMate | Yes | In the app, when you add a playlist | Pick Xtream Codes as the playlist type before typing |
| XCIPTV | Yes | In the app, on its login screen | Built around this login format |
| GSE Smart IPTV | Yes | In the app, in its remote playlist menu | Look for the entry that names Xtream Codes |
| IBO Player | Yes | On the publisher’s website, using your TV’s codes | See our IBO Player guide for the device key steps |
| Smart IPTV | Playlist link | Through a playlist link | Use the M3U link from your e-mail instead |
Menu labels change from one version of a player to the next, so treat the “where” column as a pointer rather than an exact path. The principle stays the same: find the screen that adds a new account or playlist, then choose the Xtream type.
IBO Player is the exception in method, not in content
IBO Player asks you to add your details on the publisher’s website rather than with the TV remote. The TV shows two codes, a MAC address and a device key, and you use them on the website to link your login to that television. The three Xtream fields stay exactly the same; only the place where you type them changes. Our IBO Player guide walks through those codes in order.
What this means for you: the choice of player is about comfort, menus and your device, not about which content you receive. Pick the one that runs well on your screen and feels natural to you. Our guide to IPTV apps compares them device by device.
Not sure which player suits your TV
Tell support your device model and we will suggest a player that accepts your Xtream login on it.
Typing on a TV without losing patience
Long values and a TV remote are not a happy pair. The on-screen keyboard moves one letter at a time, capital letters sit behind a shift key, and a single extra press adds a character you do not see. These habits make the job shorter and reduce errors.
Many TVs and boxes accept a phone as a keyboard through the maker’s own remote app from the official store.
Then: pair the phone and type on its screenVoice input often adds capitals, spaces or a full stop, and it struggles with mixed letters and numbers.
Then: type the login by hand insteadPasting can bring hidden formatting or a trailing space along with the value.
Then: move the cursor to the end and delete any spaceSome keyboards switch back to small letters after each capital.
Then: check the case of every letter as you goA USB keyboard also helps on most Android TV boxes and on many PCs. Plug it in, and the player usually accepts it straight away. On a Fire TV Stick or an Apple TV, the phone remote apps from the official store do the same job without any cable.
Whatever method you use, check the value on the screen before you confirm. Look at the first and last characters of each field, because those are the places where extra characters slip in most often. If the player has a small eye icon in the password box, it is there for exactly this purpose.
Type slowly once and you will not need to type again for the rest of your plan.
If someone else in the home is less comfortable with remotes, consider doing the setup for them on every device at the start, while you have the e-mail open. Each device keeps the login, so nobody needs to type it again until the device is reset or the plan ends.
Xtream IPTV or M3U: which format to use
Your welcome e-mail gives you both formats for the same account. You only need one of them in a given player. Here is how they compare in daily use, so you can choose with your eyes open.
| Point | Xtream Codes | M3U link |
|---|---|---|
| What you enter | Three fields | One long link |
| Speed of loading | Section by section, usually quicker | One large list, slower on older devices |
| Separate sections for live, films and series | Yes | Depends on the player |
| Programme guide | Loaded with the login in most players | Often needs its own guide link |
| Accepted by every supported player | No, not all | No, not all |
| Same content | Yes | Yes |
Choose Xtream Codes when
- Your player offers it as an option
- Your device is older and struggles with long lists
- You use films and series as much as live TV
- You want the guide to load with the login
Use the M3U link when
- Your player accepts only a playlist link
- The player’s Xtream screen keeps failing on a device we cannot test
- You want one value to type instead of three
Do not add both formats to the same player for the same account. You end up with two profiles that look alike, and it becomes easy to start a stream on one while the other is still open. With 1 simultaneous connection per pack, that can stop your own viewing.
Our M3U playlist setup guide covers the link format in depth, including tips for large playlists on older devices.
What happens after you press connect
Knowing what the player is doing during the first load makes it easier to tell a normal wait from a real problem. This is the usual sequence, in plain words.
- First moment
The player calls the server
It uses the server URL to reach our service. If the address is wrong, the process stops here with a connection error.
- Next
The account is checked
The username and password are compared with your account, and the end date is read. A wrong value or an ended plan stops here.
- Then
Categories are loaded
Live TV, films and series arrive section by section. Large catalogues take a little longer on older devices.
- After that
The guide is fetched
The programme guide fills in. It can lag behind the channel lists for a short while.
- Ready
The home screen appears
You can play a channel. Later starts are faster because the player reuses what it stored.
This sequence tells you where to look when something goes wrong. A failure at the first step points to the server URL or the internet connection. A failure at the second points to the username, the password or the end date of the plan. If the lists appear but a channel will not play, the login works and the cause lies elsewhere: another screen in use, a slow line or a single channel that needs checking.
If the guide is empty while everything else works, that is not a login error either. Refresh the guide in the player’s settings and check the device time zone. Canada spans several time zones, and a device set to the wrong one shows every programme at the wrong time. Our TV guide setup page explains the time shift setting.
Common Xtream IPTV login errors
Players word their errors differently, but they fall into a handful of families. Match the message you see with the row below, apply the fix, and test again before changing anything else.
| What the player says | Most likely cause | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Invalid username or password | One wrong character, wrong case or a trailing space | Clear both fields and type them again slowly |
| Server not reachable, or a long wait | Incomplete server URL, or the device is offline | Check the number after the colon; open another app to test the line |
| Account expired or disabled | The plan reached its end date | Check the end date; order again if you want to continue |
| Login works, channels do not play | Another device is playing with the same login | Close the player fully on every other screen |
| Lists load, guide is empty | Guide not refreshed, or wrong time zone | Refresh the guide; set the time zone to automatic |
| Network error right after confirming | Device date or time is wrong | Set date and time to automatic, then restart the player |
Do not paste from a message that may have added formatting. Some messaging apps turn the server URL into a clickable link or change its characters when you copy it. If a paste fails, type the value by hand instead.
It worked yesterday and stopped today. Check the end date of your plan first: renewals are never automatic, so access simply stops on that date. Then check whether someone else in the home is watching on another device. If neither applies, write to us with the time it stopped and the exact message on screen.
What we check when you contact us. Send us the exact error message, the name of the player and your device model. We confirm that your account is active, that its end date has not passed and that the details in your player match ours. We never ask you to post your password in a public place, and you should never share it anywhere.
Our page on IPTV that can’t connect goes further into login errors, expired access and the one-connection limit, with a fix for each case.
Test in the right order
When a login fails, the temptation is to change several things at once: retype the password, restart the router, reinstall the player. Then, if it works, you do not know which change fixed it, and if it fails, you do not know which change made things worse. A fixed order is faster.
Start with the line, because a device that is not online fails every other check. Then the clock, because a wrong date breaks the secure connection before the player even reads your details. Then the server URL, because it is the longest value and the one most often cut short. Then the username and password together. Finally, close the player on every other screen in the home.
Change one thing, test, then move to the next. Write down what you tried. If you reach the end of the list and the login still fails, you have exactly what support needs to help you in one reply.
Deep dive: why reinstalling the player rarely helps
Reinstalling a player removes the stored profile, so you have to type the three fields again. If the original problem was a typing error, reinstalling gives you a fresh chance to type correctly, which can look like the reinstall fixed it. But if the problem was the clock, the line or another screen in use, the reinstall changes nothing. Clearing and retyping the fields in the existing profile achieves the same result in less time.
One login, several devices in your home
Your Xtream login is not tied to one television. You can enter it on the living room TV, a bedroom stick, a tablet and a laptop. What the pack limits is not the number of devices but the number playing at the same moment.

How the one-connection rule works
- Each pack includes 1 simultaneous connection.
- The same details can sit on several devices in your home.
- Only one device should play at any given moment.
- A second stream can stop the first one.
- More screens at once are possible only on request.
In practice, the rule catches people out in small ways. A tablet left playing in a child’s room. A phone that resumed a stream when it was unlocked. A box that went to sleep without stopping the channel. Each of these counts as a connection, and the next screen to start may find the login busy.
A good habit is to stop playback before switching off a screen, rather than turning the TV off with the player still running. On boxes and sticks, return to the player’s home screen or close the app. It takes a second and prevents most “it will not play” evenings.
Never share your login with another household. Your details are for your home only. If someone outside your home uses them, your own viewing can stop whenever they watch, and sharing credentials between households is not allowed. If your home needs more screens at the same moment, ask our support team: they explain the conditions and the price for your case.
Our page on what is included in the service sets out the connection rule alongside the rest of each pack.
Keeping your login safe
The three fields are the keys to your plan. Anyone who has them can use your connection, and with only one stream at a time, that means your own screen goes quiet. Treat them like the code to your front door.
Keep the e-mail
Move the welcome e-mail into a folder you can find again. Do not delete it after setup.
No group chats
Never paste the fields into a group conversation, a forum or a social post.
Official players only
Type the details only in a player from your device’s official store, or on its publisher’s official website.
Tell us early
If you think your login has leaked, write to support by e-mail or WhatsApp straight away.
Screenshots are a common leak. People take a photo of the login screen to ask a question, then send it to a friend or post it in a help group. If you send us a photo of an error, crop out the password box or take the photo before you type the password.
Be careful with any website or message that asks you to “check” or “verify” your Xtream details. We do not ask you to type them anywhere except in your own player. Support may ask for the e-mail address you ordered with, but never for your password in a public place, and never for card details by message. Payment only happens at checkout.
If you sell or give away a device, delete the player profile first, or reset the device to factory settings. Otherwise the next owner inherits your login along with the hardware.
Login refused after every check
Send support the exact error, your player and your device model. We confirm your account and the details on our side.
Your Xtream IPTV login at the end of a plan
Every plan is a one-time payment with no automatic renewal and no contract. That shapes what happens to your login when the duration you bought comes to an end.
On the end date
Access stops. The player keeps your profile, but it can no longer open the account, and most players show an expired or disabled message. Nothing is charged and nothing renews. If you want to continue, you order again with the pack and duration that fit your home now.
Do the details change when you order again? Ask support when you place your new order. If anything changes, we tell you by e-mail, and you update the fields in each player. If nothing changes, your existing profiles start working again once the new plan is active.
To avoid a gap, note the end date in a calendar when you order and set a reminder a few days ahead. The 12-month subscription guide explains when a longer duration makes sense, and the 1-month subscription guide covers using a first month to test your home setup.
Changing pack works the same way. If you move from the Premium Pack to the VIP Premium Pack or the Ultimate 4K Pack, write to support with your current pack and the one you want. They explain the options for your order and tell you whether your player needs new details.
Xtream IPTV words, explained
These terms appear in player menus, in our e-mails and in support replies. Knowing them makes every screen easier to read.
- Xtream Codes
- A login format made of a server URL, a username and a password. Not an app.
- Xtream Codes API
- The name some players give to the same login option. Choose it when you see it.
- Server URL
- The address of our service, sometimes called host or portal. Includes any number after a colon.
- Profile
- The saved set of details inside a player. One per account is enough.
- M3U link
- A single playlist address that carries the same account for players that need a link.
- EPG
- The electronic programme guide that shows what is on each channel and when.
- Simultaneous connection
- One stream playing at a given moment. Each pack includes one.
- Case-sensitive
- A capital letter and a small letter count as different characters.
If a player uses a term that is not on this list, describe the screen to support. Player publishers rename menus from time to time, and we would rather help you match a new label than leave you guessing.

FAQ
Where do I find my Xtream Codes details?
In your welcome e-mail, sent within minutes of your order. Look for the server URL, the username and the password. Check your spam folder if you cannot find it.
Is Xtream Codes the name of an app?
No. It is a login format. Many players accept it, including IPTV Smarters Pro, TiviMate, XCIPTV and GSE Smart IPTV. You install the player from your device’s official app store.
Why is my password refused when I am sure it is right?
Usually a capital letter, a look-alike character or a space at the end. Clear the field and type it again slowly, checking each character against the e-mail.
Do I need the number after the colon in the server URL?
Yes, if your e-mail shows one. It is part of the address. Without it, the player tries to reach the wrong place and reports a connection error.
Can I use the same login on my TV and my phone?
Yes, one device at a time. Each pack includes 1 simultaneous connection, so the second device can stop the first if both play together.
Do my details change when I order again?
Ask our support team when you order again. If anything changes, we tell you by e-mail and you update the fields in your player.
Is Xtream Codes better than M3U?
For most players, yes. It loads faster and sorts the content into sections. The content itself is the same with either format.
Why are the channels there but the guide is empty?
Your login works; the guide needs a refresh. Update it in the player’s settings, then check that the device time zone is set automatically.
Can support enter the details for me?
We cannot reach your device, but we can guide you screen by screen. Tell us your device model and player, and we send the steps in order.
What should I do if I think my login has leaked?
Write to support by e-mail or WhatsApp straight away from the address you ordered with. Do not post your details anywhere while you wait.
